Bengaluru, 14 February: Senior employees look at career opportunities within a company as a critical factor for their long-term association, while junior staffers focus on continuous upskilling initiatives for staying long with an organisation.
This was revealed in a survey by AI-powered learning platform Courseplay, which is part of CIEL HR Group.
“49 per cent of senior executives consider career growth initiatives as the most critical factor in their long-term association with an employer, while 52 per cent of entry-level employees prefer continuous upskilling as the key to staying engaged and loyal to an organization,” the report said.
“60 per cent of mid-level employees spanning various industries, company sizes, and geographies emphasized that new responsibilities, specialized training, and career progression as essential factors in their retention,” the report added.
38 per cent of employees in small enterprises and 36 per cent in mid-sized companies identify ongoing learning opportunities as the biggest driver for staying with their employers.
“Providing employees with clear career growth opportunities enhances morale and fosters loyalty. Employees who feel supported in their professional development are more likely to be engaged and demonstrate long-term commitment to their roles. As leaders, it is essential to build a corporate culture that values and recognizes employee contributions,” Arjun Gupta, President – Learning Technology of CIEL HR Group said.
